Elvis Costello & the Imposters

Tuesday, August 2; the Pageant (6161 Delmar Boulevard)

St. Louis music fans shed a few tears when Elvis Costello & the Imposters cancelled their show earlier this year, reportedly owing to the Man's throat ailment. Healed, rested and ready to break your heart, Declan & Co. will return this week, still in support of last year's excellent The Delivery Man -- which is now available in a deluxe two-disc package, seemingly beating Rhino Records at its own reissue game. As if in apology for the cancelled date, Costello will have the magnificent Hem open the show. Apology accepted. Tickets purchased for the original May 4 show will be honored the night of the show, and refunds will be available at the point of purchase. But why would you want a refund? You should be getting in line right now!

Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $37.50 to $39.50; call 314-726-6161 for more information.
