Elevator to the Gallows (with a Miles Davis Score!)

Louis Malle’s “Elevator to the Gallows” (1957) will be presented at Webster University’s Winifred Moore Auditorium as part of Cinema St. Louis’s Robert Classic French Film Festival. In French with English subtitles, the film is a stylish exploration of murder and mistaken identity starring Jeanne Moreau. “Elevator to the Gallows” is renowned also for its evocative score by Miles Davis and its Paris-saturated cinematography—all of which blend into the essence of cool.

Price: $12 general admission; $10 for students, Cinema St. Louis members, and Alliance Française members. Webster University students are admitted free.
