Eat To Live

If asked to fill in the blank in "dining out for (blank)," we could come up with plenty of options. "Giggles." "The third time this week." "The simple fact that we have a babysitter tonight and, quick, let's escape while we can." While all of those choices are plausible, none is as compelling as what truly belongs in that blank: "life." Today, take part in the eighteenth annual "Dining Out for Life" fundraiser. Just grab a meal at one of your favorite local restaurants – more than 100 places are participating this year, including Atomic Cowboy, which is donating the full 100 percent of the profits – and between 25 and 100 percent of the day's proceeds will go directly to the Saint Louis Effort for AIDS. None other than St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith is the honorary chairperson for the event, and each restaurant will have volunteer hosts on hand to tell you more about the work EFA is doing to support our friends and neighbors living with HIV/AIDS.
