Divas of Da Lou

7 p.m. Friday, April 2. The Ambassador, 9800 Halls Ferry Road, Jennings.

Looking for the "softer" side of St. Louis music? Look no further than the Ambassador, where some of the area's hottest female performers will take center stage at Divas of Da Lou, a night of hip-hop, R&B and pop music. Ebony Eyez (formerly of Capitol Records), who's best known for the single "In Ya Face," will be headlining, along with up-and-coming talent such as American Idol top-twelve finalist Aloha Mischeaux. Other performers include Unladylike, the Def Jam-signed duo from East St. Louis that's still celebrating its first major-label release, Certified, and the yet-unsigned trio June 5th, that has already worked with A-list talent such as Snoop Dogg and Akon. Also scheduled to appear: Derrty Entertainment's Chocolate Tai, FyreBoy's Mi'Ahni, Mz. STL and Brittney J.
