Corral a Friend for the Chorale

Many people are planning to scale back their Christmas spending, which is a good idea. It's certainly a better idea than cutting down on the Christmas music; it's easy to live with fewer gifts, but can you imagine a Christmas without the carols? The Sheldon Chorale doesn't want that horrible fate to befall you, so tonight at 8 p.m. at the Sheldon Concert Hall (3648 Washington Boulevard; 314-533-9900 or www.thesheldon.org) they present Yuletide Reflections. The vocal group performs seasonal music from around the world in a capella format and with small groups of musicians, including Benjamin Britten's "A Ceremony of Carols." Tickets are $10 to $15, which means you could buy a ticket for a friend and provide them with a gift and ensure that they don't lack for music this season. It's what friends are for.
