Alongside acts Bane and Champion, Canadian newcomers Comeback Kid are directly responsible for igniting the latest revival of old-school hardcore. But where their finger-pointing forefathers were patently formulaic, these Kids add a much-needed dose of melodicism to their throwback brand of hardcore, a fact that's helped them carve their own niche in the community. Case in point: Their latest disc (and Victory Records debut) Wake The Dead is teeming with ready-to-sing-along anthems that are (gasp!) catchy without sacrificing the aggression that keeps circle pits in constant rotation. But don't take our word for it; dust off your basketball jersey and your Nike Dunks and see for yourself what hardcore's new power generation looks like, eh?
