"Infinite energy" is a good way to describe Texas-bred blues rocker Chris Duarte; like many musical types sourced from the Lone Star State, he's spent his entire life on the road. But somewhere in all of this touring, he found time to make Infinite Energy, an album under the Chris Duarte Group banner. (Duarte's spent the last several years touring and recording with his secondary outfit, Bluestone.) Energy wastes little time in getting down to business: "Ridin'" shuffles in with a Cream-like vibe, kicking off a cool eleven tracks in just under an hour. Duarte comes to town this week with the accomplishment of being recently labeled as a "modern-day guitar hero" by Ted Nugent , which means that he's probably safe from the Nuge's bow and arrow. For now.
