Brazilian Folk Festival

When: Sun., June 12, 12-4 p.m. 2016

Since the 16th century, Brazilians have traditional festivals during the month of June to celebrate some of the most famous saints for Catholics: St. Anthony, St. John, St. Peter and St. Paul. Festa Junina’s origins date back to Portuguese colonization, and the holiday has developed over time to incorporate Brazilian cultural elements. These festivals are marked by a lot of folk dances, typical foods and drinks, games, contests and a family-friendly environment. We brought this festival to St. Louis three years ago and with its success, here we are again!
