June 24th, 2017 starting at 12pm, Hands Up United will host its monthly political education program Books and Breakfast. Since June is Black Music Month, the organization will turn this event into a mini music festival with free barbeque, free books, live performances, and black owned businesses displaying merchandise. This event will be held in O’Fallon Park on West Florissant Ave. in north city St. Louis. To date, Hands Up United has fed over 10,000 families and given out 20,000 books with this program alone.
