Local journalist (and former
RFT scribe) Thomas Crone wrote a
touching remembrance of musician/photographer/KDHX DJ Bob Reuter on St. Louis Magazine's web site yesterday. In it, Crone recounts the time
RFT hired Reuter to shoot some photos of some
no-tell motels on North Grand for a July 2003 Mike Seely feature. Not wanting to go alone, Reuter enlisted Crone as his driver. According to Crone "We scared people that routinely scare other people, that much I know, my Corolla peeling out, Bob's camera banging around, both of us nervous-laughing our way through an assignment that I wasn't even paid to be on, but that I enjoyed immensely." Here are the photos that Bob and Tom gathered that night during the summer of 2003.
