Bites for Rights

Since its founding more than 45 years ago, Amnesty International has fought for human dignity. Such a fight can be hard to define, but that doesn't make it any less crucial. As long as there is injustice (wrongful arrests, children forced into militias, deplorable conditions in prisons worldwide — the list, unfortunately, goes on and on), Amnesty International will continue to campaign for human rights. To accomplish that work, this almost-entirely volunteer organization needs financial support. Do your part by attending a charity dinner benefiting Amnesty International tonight at the Delmar Restaurant & Lounge (6235 Delmar Boulevard). From 5 to 10 p.m., a percentage of the Delmar's dinner sales go to AI. Changing the world isn't easy, but stopping by this Loop hotspot, ordering a delicious meal and contributing to Amnesty International's ongoing mission certainly is. There's no cover for the evening; call 314-725-6565 for more information or to make a reservation.
