Adults aren't supposed to have toys; they have hobbies or guns. But since April the Wizard's Wagon has fostered the enjoyment of grown-up twelve-sided die rollers, Star Wars lovers, card-game players, Magic: The Gathering junkies, Dungeons & Dragons adventurers, Whovians and every other conceivable stripe and creed of enthusiast in the Loop. Let's not quibble about "nerd" or "geek" labels. Whatever they call themselves, you can find 30 or so of them six times a week at the store's open game nights, where anyone can jump in for a turn at the board or a session of a role-playing game (like D&D). Or, if you're brave enough, grab some Magic cards and find out what a real trading-card game plays like. Make sure to check the store's Facebook page for the schedule, as some nights feature organized tournaments. If your interests fall more in the collectors' direction, manager Ryan Patterson will be happy to show you what he calls "the best model and figurine selection in town."
