It's pretty normal for the thermometer to eclipse 90 in St. Louis in June. This is a problem, as summer isn't technically supposed to start until the last week of the month. At this point, it's OK for the temp to reach 90, but not for the first three weeks of June. The first three weeks of June are supposed to be spring, something of a lost season in our sweaty city. Ninety on Labor Day weekend is acceptable; 90 on Father's Day weekend is lame. Summer's tough enough; there's absolutely no call for the weather gods to rub it in. But in June, rub they do, chafing thighs and inducing puddles of cleavage sweat from Fenton to Florissant. Lighten up a little, June, wouldya?
