The St. Louis-born Andy Cohen initially decided to focus on the behind-the-scenes part of cable TV. And since he rose to become Bravo's executive vice president of original programming and development, it's hard to second-guess his career planning — only it turns out everybody's fabulous gay BFF was oh-so-much more than just a TV exec. He was also a born talk-show host. Watch What Happens Live, which airs on Bravo, shows Cohen dishing about Real Housewives of Whatever episodes with everyone from Sarah Jessica Parker to Tina Fey. Lucky for Cohen, he's far more comfortable in front of the camera than either Michael Eisner or Lorne Michaels, to name a few other execs who crossed the off-camera divide. The show a surprise hit, and these days Cohen doesn't just wrangle the talent; he is the talent. Earlier this year he was the subject of an incredibly flattering profile in the New York Times, proving that while Cohen may be "Andy" to his family back in St. Louis, in the Big Apple, he's the toast of the town.
