Devon Alexander "the Great" got beaten up so badly en route to his unanimous twelve-round decision victory over Andriy Kotelnik in August at the Scottrade Center that HBO's Max Kellerman quipped that the hometown hero looked less like "Alexander the Great" and more like "Devon the Good." But good or great, Alexander is still the champ. He holds both the IBF and WBC junior welterweight belts and is now next in line to get a shot at Tim Bradley for the WBO crown. A southpaw, Alexander came up hard in north St. Louis' Hyde Park neighborhood, but once he began training with ex-cop Kevin Cunningham he never looked back. The 23-year-old has a professional record of 21-0 with 13 knockouts — and one hard-fought homecoming win against the stubborn Ukrainian.
