What the?! Mom, mom, mom, mooooommmmm! Look! That concrete basin over there is filling with water! Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Oh, my gosh. Where'd that lifeguard come from? And those jets of water shooting out of the ground? And that big ceramic urn? Did it just become a waterfall? Is this really happening?! [Insert voice of reason.] You bet it is, kid. Every Thursday through Sunday in the summer, a wading pool fills the ground just east of the park's Pool Pavilion. (Yes, that's why it's called the Pool Pavilion.) Then, just as quickly as it arrives, the magical oasis disappears down the drain. Children can be excused for wondering: Was it all just a dream?
