Best Hip-Hop Club

The Ambassador

The newest club under the ownership of venerable St. Louis proprietor Craig Spruill is his biggest and most ambitious space to date — after losing the first incarnation of the Ambassador to a retail development, he moved from Northland Plaza into the current space in extreme north St. Louis. In the two-plus years he's been there, the place has hosted legends like Charlie Wilson, but its biggest splashes have been hip-hop shows, including stops by some of the hottest names in the game: T.I., Young Jeezy and Rick Ross. The Ambassador has also hosted some of the biggest rap battles in the city in recent years.
