Don't worry about being the only non-Bosnian speaker at Cafe Korzo. You won't understand the lyrics to the techno-beat jams coming out of the TVs, but you will understand their curated menu of sandwiches, steak, chicken skillets and other Bosnian favorites. On a nice day, you'll have to compete for a seat on the wooden outdoor patio with men sipping espressos, smoking cigarettes and chatting in rapid Bosnian. Inside, parents eat fried smelt fish or a pljeskavica sandwich on Bosnian flatbread while their children opt for chicken fingers or a chicken and ranch wrap. For first-timers, we highly suggest ordering the cevapi (che-VAP-ee), traditional minced-beef rolls grilled and served on freshly toasted flatbread with seasoned onions and a side of sour cream; imagine a doner kabob filled with thick, juicy sausage links. Whether you pair your cevapi with fries or a salad, we suggest you wash it down with a Cockta, a Slovenian soda made from dog-rose berries and caramelized sugar, or the Bosnian mineral water Sarajevski Kiseljak.
