You don’t have to go to New York for innovative dance -- or wait for an NYC company to visit. Inspired choreography happens here, too, and Dawn Karlovsky proves it yet again with Exposed, a contemporary dance concert. Through this performance, twelve local dancers dig in and uncover almost everything: They experiment with dance and film, explore interpersonal relationships and the idea of intimacy and quirk out to an original score by St. Louis’ own Tory Z Starbuck. They even pay homage to onetime St. Louisan and the King of Ragtime, Scott Joplin.
