Black Swan has worked everyone into a Tchaikovsky-inspired fury, albeit the lady-on-lady action in the film might explain part of the fervor. Nonetheless, the composer's touches and impressions can be heard throughout the movie's soundtrack, showcasing his propensity for passion and his devotion to dramatics. It should come as no surprise then that Tchaikovsky also scored Romeo and Juliet, one of the most hot-blooded stories ever penned. The tale of star-crossed lovers, young and head over heels, wanting nothing more than to be together, whether in life or in death, proves to be even more spectacular when danced by the Russian National Ballet Theatre to the music by Tchaikovsky.
