Art Meets You

Sure, Friday nights are busy in Grand Center, especially when there are shows at the Sheldon, the Fox and Powell Hall; Jazz at the Bistro; and art openings galore. But why should Fridays get to have all of the fun? Thursday is a pretty sweet day of the week as well, and with Thursdays @ the Intersection, the second-to-last day of the workweek is getting its due. From 6 to 8 p.m. during these special evenings out, Strauss Park (Washington and North Grand boulevards) is filled with live music and all kinds of activities, courtesy of the various arts organizations in Grand Center. On Thursday, July 1, "Wearable Art/Walking Gallery" sets the stage for the night, bringing artistic loveliness and inspiration out of the venues and into the park. If you can't make it to the intersection this week, note that each Thursday event features a different theme. Participation in the fun is free; for a full lineup of what's planned for the series, which runs through July 15, visit www.grandcenter.org.
