A Sign of Design

Mary Engelbreit seems like the type of person who can create sugar and goodness with her mere touch, so we're pretty sure that everything around her is made of cherries and love and happiness and sunshine. There's only one way to know for sure, and that's to head over to the American Society of Interior Designers/At Home 2007 Showhouse, located at 162 North Central Avenue in Clayton. This home once belonged to Miss Mary herself, and its interior has been recently redesigned by several ASID members. Tours are offered every day (except Monday) through Sunday, May 6; on Tuesday, April 24, the home is open from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. When you hand over your $15 ticket (available at the home, Dierbergs and Plaza Frontenac), the door to ME's previous abode will be opened -- and so will your smiling eyes. Proceeds from the tour benefit the Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center; learn more by calling 314-268-2700, extension 6101, or visiting www.glennon.org.
Tuesdays-Sundays. Starts: April 14. Continues through May 6
