Monty Navarro is distantly related to a wealthy family, but the distance is so great as to render him utterly poor. Being an enterprising sort, he realizes that if a few of those relations were to die, he'd be that much closer to the family fortune. There are eight people in line between him and a life of leisure. Could he possibly bump off eight relatives? It helps that he's never met any of them before, but still — eight murders is substantial for a first-time killer. The Robert L. Freedman and Steven Lutvak musical A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder was the toast of Broadway for more than two years, and now it makes its St. Louis debut. The show is performed Tuesday through Sunday (September 13 to 25) at the Fox Theatre (527 North Grand Boulevard; www.fabulousfox.com). Tickets are $30 to $66.
