A Dickens of A Tale

When: Fridays, Saturdays, 7:30-9:30 p.m. Continues through Dec. 12 2015

The members of Bankside Repertory Theatre Company are making a slight departure from theatrical tradition this year, by letting the characters from A Christmas Carol tell their “stories” of Scrooge’s redemption from their own perspectives. As in the Dickens classic, the Ghost of Jacob Marley starts the ball rolling, and the audience hears from Scrooge’s old flame, Belle, his nephew Fred, the wife of his old apprentice master Mrs. Fezziwig, Mrs. Bob Cratchit, “Turkey Boy,” Scrooge’s housekeeper, Mrs. Dilber and finally Tiny Tim whose last words end both this play and Dickens’ novel.
