A Cursive Memory made huge waves last year with the video for its single "Everything," a clip centered around the idea that the LA band is a guerrilla-style "bandarazzi" squad. The result? Celebrity cameos, goofball humor, a ghetto-blaster and plenty of super-cute band dudes, the sort guaranteed to make every teenage girl in America squeal uncontrollably (and then forward the video to all of her friends). Still, "Everything" probably wouldn't have caught on had it not been for the song's super-infectious chorus, which proves that spelling out the title of the song as a hook is generally a great move. On its record Changes, the band's emo-influenced, synth-driven guitar-pop is highly stylized and slickly produced — but its raw energy translates well in a live setting.
