A Conversation with Innu Poet Josephine Bacon

Left Bank Books and the Centre Francophone at Webster University present Innu poet Josephine Bacon, in conversation local poet Travis Mossoti, for her most recent book "Un thé dans la toundra / Nipishapui nete mushuat." Josephine Bacon is a Innu poet originally from Pessamit, Quebec, born in 1947. Bacon’s work reflects the ways in which her Innu language has changed as the First Nation society has moved from a nomadic past to a sedentary lifestyle, its the people forced onto reserves.
