2 Keys Reunion

8 p.m. Saturday, November 27. El Leñador, 3124 Cherokee Street.

Every so often a punk house comes around and has an exponential impact on the youth of its city. Such was the case for St. Louis' own refuge for hardcore and punk kids, 2 Keys Industries. Operating from December 2001 to July 2002, it was here that the second wave of STL DIY erupted in a whirlwind of dance punk, angular rock, fast-as-fuck hardcore and "thrashwrath." Although it was around for only a short time, the 2 Keys house exemplified a true punk ethos and left a lasting impression on the youth of the time. Nearly eight years later, the organizers of the 2 Keys community have banded together for a reunion show, which features In Medias Res, Kill Me Kate, To No End, Corbeta Corbata and 12 Gauge Blues. Were the kids really alright? Now's your chance to see.
