If you thought "Florida man" was sketchy, you might want to get a load of the latest "Missouri couple" to make national headlines.

The Smoking Gun reports that Tanya Lynn Hopper, 40, and Larry Webster, 55, were arrested July 12 after a neighbor called 911 to report that he'd seen a man riding a lawnmower with a naked woman on his lap.

According to a probable cause statement posted on the website, Hopper and Webster, who both live in Joplin, told the sheriff's office that they'd been skinny dipping in a nearby creek when someone stole their clothes. They claimed they then happened on the lawnmower in the woods — and saw it as an easy solution to their transportation/nudity problem.

But the lawnmower, as it turns out, wasn't his. Or hers. It had been stolen — and the owner told the Jasper County Sheriff's Office that he wanted to press charges. (Hey, that mower is worth $5,000!)

Perhaps the craziest part of the story? According to the probable cause statement by the sheriff's office, all the naked fun happened around 10 a.m. on a Tuesday.

Ah, Missouri.
