A 20-year-old youth counselor was busted over the weekend for raping a child in St. Louis, authorities say.

William “Billy” Hogenmiller attacked the victim on Thursday or Friday, forcing the minor’s legs down and apart while he lay on top of the child, according the St. Louis County Police. The victim tried to fight him off, cops say.

St. Louis County prosecutors on Saturday issued a charge of first-degree rape in the case.

Hogenmiller, who lives just west of Overland in the 2600 block of White Manor Court, worked at a pair of organizations that serve children. On social media, he identified one of those as St. Louis Arc, which caters to kids and adults with disabilities. An Arc spokeswoman refused to comment about Hogenmiller or say whether he still worked there, citing an “ongoing investigation.”

Police say the alleged attack wasn’t tied to either of his jobs.

Hogemiller was jailed on $75,000 cash bond.

Police ask any other potential victims to call (636) 529-8210.
