Police raided After Dark Gentlemen's Club, an adult cabaret two hours southwest of St. Louis, this weekend after an undercover investigation revealed naked dancing, illegal alcohol sales and after-hours operations.
Police arrested the owner, Matthew Wagner, 33, of Dixon, at 2:30 a.m. Sunday morning on suspicion of possessing three vials of anabolic steroids, according to court documents obtained by the Pulaski County Daily.
Pulaski County Sheriff investigators found multi-dose, liquid steroids for cattle, not human, consumption along with several syringes in Wagner's office.
Police also found illegal drugs and alcoholic beverages and four firearms while executing a search warrant at 1:30 a.m. Sunday morning -- a prime time for strip clubs. One of those guns was reported stolen from a federal law enforcement agency, according to police.
Police arrested other people during the five-hour, early-morning raid, but charges haven't yet been filed, according to the Daily. Pulaski County Sheriff Ronald Long said he expects to see more charges filed against Wagner and several female dancers this week.
Long posted on the department's Facebook page that the raid capped off a long-term, undercover investigation into the adult club's lawbreaking, including illegal alcohol sales, operating after hours and "female entertainers dancing topless and nude."
