St. Louis Metropolitan Police found the body of April Fields, of the Berkeley neighborhood, with stab wounds on her torso and buttocks at 12:30 p.m. on January 8. Hers was the third homicide in St. Louis City in 2014.

On Sunday, the Circuit Attorney's office charged Arrington, 38, of the 10000 block of Toelle Lane, with first-degree murder and armed criminal action.
