Ever wonder what it's like working for an alt-weekly? Here's your chance to find out firsthand. Riverfront Times is currently seeking interns for the fall semester to write for Daily RFT and RFT Music and to shoot photo assignments for our website. Ideal candidates will have experience working for their school's newspaper and/or other publications.
The process is simple. Send us a cover letter, résumé and a few of your best writing and/or photography samples. Candidates interested in covering news should email Joseph Hess. Those interested in writing about music can apply directly to our music editor, Daniel Hill. Aspiring photographers should email our art director, Tom Carlson.
An important caveat: Our internships are unpaid, which means you have to arrange to earn school credit for the internship. (The best bet is to check with your academic adviser before applying.) And you need to devote at least 15 hours a week to the internship and spend part of at least two days a week at the RFT. That said, we promise to make it worth your while and guarantee that you'll leave here with a few stellar clips for your portfolio.
Not sure which internship best suits you? Apply for all three.
