Last night at 9:41 p.m., police responded to a call to investigate an apartment in south St. Louis.
When cops arrived to the 4200 block of Iowa Avenue in the Mount Pleasant neighborhood of the city, they found 24-year-old Erica Barber inside of her bedroom apartment. She was deceased and nude, cops say.
There were no visible signs of trauma to her body, officials say.
Cops have at this time labeled the case a "suspicious sudden death."
KSDK (Channel 5) says that it was a "frantic call" from a neighbor or acquaintance that led police to her apartment.
The investigation is ongoing, and the cause of death is unknown pending the results of an autopsy.
