Here's your weekly St. Louis bestseller list for the week ending October 28, as compiled by the St. Louis Independent Booksellers Alliance and based on sales at Left Bank Books, Main Street Books, Pudd'nhead Books and Subterranean Books.
St. Louisans, you have made I Could Pee On This: And Other Poems by Cats by Francesco Marciuliano the number six bestseller in this fair city this week. We here at Daily RFT always thought that cat poetry looked something like this: adjh;lskafcvb
Enough of you bought this book to show that, evidently, we were wrong.
Also on the bestseller list this week: Tony LaRussa's memoir One Last Strike (think of how happy we all were this time last year); Second Chance, the latest entry in Heather Brewer's Slayer Chronicles series and The Mark of Athena, the latest entry in Rick Riordan's Heroes of Olympus series. And also a pair by Post-Dispatch scribes: Hollywood Myths by Joe Williams and Rock and Roll Myths by Daniel Durchholz (and Gary Graff). The rock and roll book is one spot higher on the list. What does this, combined with the cat poetry, say about our civic character?
