Daniel Hooper, 42, has been charged with two counts of sexual abuse and one count of kidnapping for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman on Friday, August 24, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.

According to the probable cause statement, the victim was sitting in a wheelchair in the hospital when Hooper approached her, rolled her outside and then touched her genitals and breasts. The woman's medical condition kept her from escaping or stopping his actions.

According to a statement issued by Barnes-Jewish, the victim immediately told hospital authorities of the assault, and they contacted police. Hooper has since been taken into custody.
