Triple Shooting in Wells-Goodfellow Sunday Night

Three people were seriously injured in an attack in the Wells-Goodfellow neighborhood last night. Police say a 22-year-old black woman was approached in the 2500 block of Hodiamont Avenue by a 19-year-old black man and two accomplices, a 25-year-old black man and a 24-year-old black woman.The 19-year-old, who was known to the woman, physically attacked her and knocked her unconscious. The assailant then pulled a gun and started shooting. The woman was shot in the stomach, and two other women -- one 17-years-old and one 14-year-old -- were also injured.


The 22-year-old victim is now in critical but stable condition. The 17-year-old was shot in the right thigh and is in serious but stable condition. The 14-year-old girl was hit in the buttocks and is also in serious but stable condition.

Police say the assailants fled in a grey Pontiac. The investigation continues.
