No Residents Injured in 5-Alarm CWE Blaze; Building Is Destroyed

Authorities have determined that no one was injured in the fire that ravaged the apartment building at 3949 Lindell Boulevard, and no one has been reported missing. It's an amazing success for the combined fire departments of St. Louis City and County that they were able to evacuate all residents with no human casualties. An unknown number of pets are believed to have been killed, however.

The property owners, EdR Collegiate Housing, posted a notice on Facebook at 12:10 p.m. today stating that the company has been notified that "the entire building is going to be condemned. We are waiting for the official letter from the Fire & Police Dept."

Residents and those wishing to offer assistance should probably keep a close eye on that Facebook page, as neighbors and volunteer organizations are posting offers of help and and aid at a rapid clip. We'll keep you posted as the story continues to develop.
