14-Year-Old Girl Shot in the Head in South City


[UPDATED: Police have clarified the girl's age and the location of her injury. A possible motive has also been suggested. The post has been re-written to reflect those changes.]

 A 14-year-old girl is in critical condition after being shot Sunday night. Police were called to Gustine and Dunnica avenues around 10 p.m. for a report of shots fired. The girl, who has not been identified, had been shot once in the head; she's now at an area hospital in critical condition. Witnesses told police that the girl had argued with a group of several people earlier in the day. The investigation is ongoing.
