An unidentified white man, 34, and an unidentified black man, 47, were out walking the dog in Benton Park around 10 p.m. last night when a trio approached them. This new group, two black males and one black female, were wearing "clothing that covered their faces," according to the police incident report. One of them was also armed. The dogwalkers took off running, and gunshots rang out behind them.

The younger man was hit in the foot, while the older man escaped injury. The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition. Police continue to investigate.
