John Howard Now Has Two-and-a-Half Six Packs Worth of DUI Arrests

Branson man John Charles Howard, 50, has been charged with DUI fourteen times in Missouri and Kansas. Monday night in Overland Park, Kansas, he racked up lucky number 15. This one came with an increased degree of difficulty however: He was fleeing the scene of a suspected crime.

According to the Kansas City Star, police were called when a suspect (Johnson) allegedly threatened another man with a knife. Johnson had fled before officers arrived, but liquid courage presumably induced him to return to the scene of the crime.

He purportedly drove up, noticed the officers and took off. Police engaged in pursuit, and Johnson lost control of his vehicle trying to exit U.S. 69, struck a sign and flipped his car. He escaped injury, and now faces charges of driving under the influence, fleeing a police officer and driving on a suspended license. Johnson is currently on probation for a theft charge. I wonder what he stole? (Let the record show the writer made the "drinky-drinky" motion while typing that question.)

The fact that this guy even has a license with fourteen prior DUI convictions is baffling.
