Good morning Mr. and Mrs. St. Louis and all the ships at sea.

Dateline: Downtown.

We have been informed that the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission has, repeat, HAS RECEIVED, the St. Louis Rams counter-proposal concerning updates to the Edward Jones Dome. As you know, the CVC can not comment on the proposal unless they are given express permission to do so by the Rams. We'll keep you posted if that happens.

(murmuring off microphone)

Wait, I've just been handed word that the CVC is going to make a statement. Apparently Rams ownership has granted them special dispensation. The next voice you hear will be that of Donna Andrews, public relations director for the CVC.

"The St. Louis Rams have presented the St. Louis Convention and Visitors Commission with its alternative plan to upgrade the Edward Jones Dome. The CVC will begin the reviewing process."

There you have it, ladies and gentlemen. No one expected that bombshell here at Daily RFT. (And Andrews confirms to us by phone this morning that, yeah, the confidentiality agreement stands)

My co-workers stand eyes agog and mouth agape, but we will press on. Maybe in time we'll be given full details on how much of our money the billionaire owner of the team of millionaires wants us to spend to upgrade their clubhouse, maybe not. But I can assure you of this: We. Will. Press. On.
