Saturday Night Live Lampoons East St. Louis, Mayor Alvin Parks

East St. Louis Mayor Alvin Parks made an appearance this weekend on Saturday Night Live. Okay, so it wasn't the actual mayor. It was SNL actor Kenan Thompson portraying Parks as he attended a Mitt Romney speech to the East St. Louis Chamber of Commerce.

Here's how it goes...

Romney (played by Jason Sueikis): "You know Ann and I have lived and traveled all over the world, but I'll let you in on a little secret. The only place that has ever truly felt like home is right here, in East St. Louis, Illinois."

Parks: "Are you crazy? This is a hell hole."

"Really? You know, I find it to be such a lovely place."

"Trust me. I'm the mayor. This place is a hell hole. We live in a hell hole!"

Daily RFT has messages out to the real Mayor Alvin Parks for reaction or rebuttal. We'll update this post if we hear from him.
