  • Mitt Romney will speak at the NRA convention in St. Louis next week!
Next weekend, more than 60,000 people are flocking to downtown St. Louis for the 2012 National Rifle Association Annual Meetings and Exhibits!

This is a huge deal because, first of all, I will have a tougher time finding a parking spot.

Secondly, an important national figure will be present: Ted Nugent!

Also, Mitt Romney (the GOP front-runner and possibly our next president) will be there, along with Rick Santorum and Newt Gingrich (probably not future presidents), and the following other gentlemen: Congressman Darrell Issa, Senator Roy Blunt, Former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton, Hon. Ken Blackwell, Lt. Col. Oliver North, Governor Scott Walker, U.S. House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Governor Bobby Jindal, and Senator Chuck Grassley.

The latter are all scheduled to speak at the Celebration of American Values Leadership Forum on Friday, April 13.

But the next day is a big one, too, when attendees can chat it up with country star Trace Adkins, U.S. Olympic Biathlon athletes, expert marksmen, and of course, the afore-mentioned Nuge (seen talking about the Second Amendment below):

Of course, if the lines are too long at the celebrity booths, you could always mill around the 500 vendors displaying their firearms. (The spread at the convention center will be so enormous that the NRA is offering a smart-phone app to help you navigate it).
