If you haven't heard, RFT's favorite sports blog is transitioning. Joe Sports Fan launched nearly a decade ago and quickly became one of the best sites for ridiculing our national obsession with sports.

Now Joe Sports Fans is getting down to its true roots: St. Louis. In February the site revamped its lineup to cover sports topics strictly of interest to those within the 314 area code and points nearby. And the creators of the site, Josh Bacott and Matt Sebek (owner of St. Louis' "Funniest Twitter Feed"), also have plans to extend beyond the traditional blog format. Beginning next month they plan to launch a weekly podcast with David Freese and (equally as important) the dude who drives the Zamboni at Scottrade lined up as some of the first guests.

And here's how you can help...

To get the podcast off the ground, the guys at Joe Sports Fans have launched a Kickstarter campaign. Their hope is to raise $5,000 by the end of the month.

Says Sebek of the podcast: "We believe there is a whole demographic of young sports fans out there who are bored with the local sports radio and looking for something more portable and creative."

So, won't you help Joe Sports Fans realize its dream? Oh, and if you donate to the cause there are some fabulous prizes in it for you!
