Man Leaves Hit-and-Run Accident, Other Driver Catches Up With His Gun

St. Louis Metropolitan Police report that a 19-year-old black male rear-ended a Dodge truck, but admittedly didn't stop to exchange information. Instead, he drove off and the truck followed him. Both drivers eventually pulled over in the 9000 block of Riverview Drive (above) around 1:30 p.m. Sunday. That's when the driver of the Dodge (otherwise unidentified) ran at the derelict driver and sprayed him with bullets.

The man was shot once in the leg; he's currently at an area hospital in stable condition. The police continue their investigation.

Not to absolve the shooter of his violent crime, but having been clipped by a few hit-and-run drivers in this city and various others, I kinda understand his rage. But what happened to a good, old-fashioned beat down?
