Brent Woody, a former freshmen girls basketball coach at Parkway Central, pleaded guilty today in federal court to transporting a minor across state lines to engage in sexual activity.

According to court documents, Coach Woody drove the 15-year-old girl to his parent's residence in Illinois with the intent to engage in criminal sexual activity.

Woody, 29, of Creve Coeur, now faces the possibility of ten years to life in prison and or fines up to $250,000 when sentenced for the federal offense in January.

Meanwhile, charges against Woody remain in state court, where he was accused last year of eleven counts of statutory rape and four counts of statutory sodomy. Prosecutors say Woody had sexual relations with two 15-year-old girls between 2009 and 2010. One relationship lasted fourteen months; the other five months.
