The shooting occurred around 10:45 p.m. near the intersection of North Kingshighway (above) and caused Williams to crash into two other vehicles. Williams, of Florissant, was later pronounced dead at an area hospital. No one else was injured in the melee.

Police said yesterday that they had no suspects and were still attempting to determine where the shots had come from.
