More details emerged yesterday in the disappearance of Breeann Rodriguez when police released the probable cause statement in the arrest of suspect Shawn Morgan.

According to the statement, Morgan used a plastic garbage bag to suffocate his three-year-old neighbor when he found her hanging out near his backyard pool. The 43-year-old Morgan told investigators that it seemed to take an hour for the girl to die. He then placed her body inside the bag and drove to the floodway ditches on Missouri Highway 164 where he disposed of the corpse. Morgan later returned to the same ditches to dispose of Breeann's bicycle, according to police.
