Adrian Henderson: Homeless Man Stabbed to Death in Squatters' Camp Along River

One man is dead, and another is in jail, following an argument that turned violent Monday night in Hopeville -- the homeless camp (below) that lies north of downtown St. Louis and just next to the river.

According to police, 36-year-old Adrian Henderson was quarreling with a 50-year-old man around 7 p.m. when the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed Henderson. Police describe Henderson as a black male with no known address. He died at an area hospital.

The suspect is a white male whose identity will be revealed if/when warrants are issued.
