Mark Allen Booker and Darral Lawson: City Homicides Nos. 29 & 30, Shot North of I-70

Police got a call for shots fired Wednesday night and arrived at the 4900 block of Ashby, near Bellefontaine Cemetery, around 10:35 p.m. They found 51-year-old Mark Allen Booker, shot several times in the chest and back.

Witnesses said there were a couple of black males with Booker in the alley before the shooting took place, and once it did, they fled south on Ashby.


Then, Thursday night at about 10:30 p.m., 22-year-old Darral Lawson walked out of another young man's house on the 9000 block of Newby Street (extremely close to the city/county border) when he was shot in the face.

The other young man who lived at the house was shot several times, but survived. He's in serious condition at an area hospital.  As for Lawson, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
